Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore will continue to deepen both countries partnership, adapt to new challenges, and contribute meaningfully to peace and stability in the region for many decades to come. His Excellency Vice Admiral Dato Paduka Seri Aaron Beng, Chief of Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces highlighted this during a Commemorative Dinner marking 50 Years of Defence Relations between both countries. It took place at a hotel in Jerudong, 12th January night.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. Also held was the launching of the 50th Anniversary Logo by the Chief of Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces and Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
